Counting Down

For those of you that don't know, I quit my job last week.  My last day is this Friday, which means 2 days to go!  I figured that with the nicer weather approaching, do I really want to be stuck inside all day?  Ok, so that's not exactly why I quit.  It's been a long time coming and, after a truly bad day on Tuesday that basically made my decision for me, it was done.  I did get some "Really Bad Tuesday At Work Flowers" from the hubster out of the deal.

So if anyone knows the perfect job for someone who spent 8 years in film production, went to culinary school, can plan a wedding with ease, prefers to spend afternoons outside while drinking wine and watching old movies, please pass on my info.

On to Julia Child.  First off, I forgot to post what I made last week so here you go.  Cotes de Porc Sauce Nenette (which sounds way fancier than just saying "Pork Chops with Mustard, Cream, and Tomato Sauce") and asparagus glazed with mustard sauce.

Last night I made Beef and Onions Braised with Beer, which was one of Michael's favorites so far.  Thank goodness for culinary school, because I probably wouldn't have known what JC was talking about when she asked for a bouquet garni.

  1. I see that you still have yet to buy a decent camera that doesn't make you look like you are taking pictures on Mars. Maybe you should have used your allowance on a camera instead of just wasting it in NYC.
