Spring Is Here!

And this time it's not bringing along the snow.  It is in the high 70s today and, while I am trying to find a new job, today is not a bad day to be unemployed.  I sat outside on the deck and read for a bit, but I have no idea why I chose "The Picture of Dorian Gray" to be my first summer book.  I couldn't have picked up something with the words "best friends" or "summer house" in the title?  Jeez.  Anyway, we put this guy out, daring the snow to come back before November:

Once I saw the guys in the neighborhood start putting up all the violets and tulips on the street I figured it was time to start my mini-garden.  I don't have the best track record with plants (I once killed the 15 or so that C&E put me in charge of in New York), but I think that these little sprouts are a good sign:

I also stole some branches and used some of my leftover birthday bouquet to put up a few Spring-y things around the house:

Please just let it last and let this weather lead us right into summer!  Backtracking a bit (and, yes, if you haven't notcied yet, I'm getting bored with this feature), here are my JC meals from the last two Tuesdays:

Chicken with Potatoes, Onions, & Pancetta

Veal Chops & Fresh Linguini with a Tarragon Lemon Sauce
