Things I Have Learned Today

Danny Tanner pays his babysitters $1.50 an hour.  This reminds me of when I was in Girl Scouts and took a child care/ CPR class to earn a badge.  We started talking about what a reasonable amount was to ask for when babysitting and the general consensus among us 12 year olds was $5.00 except that one girl said she only charges a quarter.  If only Danny had known about her.  Might I remind you that he has three children?

The Lifetime Movie Network is awesome.  It is the guilty pleasure to end all others.  First, I watched Six jump off a building in order to get her sorority sisters to like her better (didn't really think that one through, did she?) while a teenage Hilary Swank cried about it for 5 seconds and then started making out with Zach to "Damn, I Wish I Was Your Lover".  Next up is "What Kind of Mother Are You?"  No, it's not a hilarious new game show.  It's the lady from "thirtysomething" trying to get the kid from "Beethoven" out of jail.  This channel cannot make a movie without the help of some child star, which makes it all the more entertaining, though I thought that Carol Seaver practically ran this network and there's no sign of her so far.

This exists:

Bacon ice cream is better in theory.

All in all, a productive day.

  1. I showed the commercial to one of the 2nd grade teachers and she spit her coke out because she was laughing so hard. Well done Rebecca.
