Ok, so I know that this post comes at a very strange time (right after my post where I'm craving snow cones), but if you'll note the long break in between posts, maybe you'll give me a break. Fall is here!!! Well, kind of. I woke up to a crisp 62 degrees, which couldn't have come at a better time. I was just saying yesterday that it didn't feel like college football should be starting just yet since it had been so hot. My dad was making fun of me, reminding me that college football games used to be all about me getting a good tan, but now that I've been out of the south for 9 years (!), cooler weather is now what I associate it with.
So back to the weather and my happiness. In 31 years, no one has ever heard me say the words "I just want summer to be over" until now. Mostly because a hot summer and a pregnant lady don't really mix. I associate this summer with being sick for the first half, then not being able to be in public in a bathing suit the second half. So I'm over it and ready to move on. As soon as Michael left for work this morning, he called to tell me about the change in weather, so I promptly hopped out of bed, opened the deck doors, put on my new fall boots and trotted off to get my first pumpkin spice latte of the season at Starbucks. Am I jumping the gun if I bust out the fall decor?
Michael has been bringing me flowers like the sweet husband he is in fall colors. It's definitely helping to move along the autumn momentum. I'll try to post an updated baby bump picture this weekend so stay tuned!
