So now that we're moving on from the Texas trip (swear that is the last time I mention it), I have some catching up to do around here. Let's start with a few big ones, shall we?
On Memorial weekend, we headed to Watervliet, Michigan for the wedding of two of our good friends, John and Ling. The wedding was actually pretty far from the hotels everyone was staying at so they bused everyone out to the site. The mason jar mojitos provided on the bus were kind of the best thing ever.
Perfect day for an outdoor wedding. And hello? That dress? Love.
In the barn for the reception, things just kept getting cuter...
At the end of the night, there was a bonfire and everyone got these fire balloon things that floated up in to the sky, then came down and started a forest fire. Just kidding about that last part. The flame eventually dies out while it's up in the sky. Photos don't really do it justice.
On a personal note, that was also our fourth wedding anniversary. It was such a fun way to celebrate, being at a wedding, surrounded by our close friends.
One more for good measure.
The day after the wedding they hosted a bbq on the lake.
A whole pig was involved.
Delicious pig was eaten...
...rocks were skipped.
It was a great time. Congrats you two!
The rest of our weekend was spent in Lake Geneva to celebrate our anniversary (Grandma and Grandpa had the kiddo). It's become a little tradition of ours and we always have a lot of fun in the little lake town. We didn't take many pictures, but I did manage to take one of a house we are considering buying.
As always, we stopped by the Baker House for snacks, cocktails, and hats. I guess because we happened to be there on opening night three years ago, as strange as that night was, we have become a little bit like honorary guests and basically drink for free.
Hoping that next year we plan ahead enough to actually stay there since it's such an incredible place. I have no official ending for this post. That is all.
