Look, I love me some fall. But the fact of the matter is that, around these parts, it also is a sign of what's to come. And stay. For like, nine months. But before I can even think about that, let's recap the summer, shall we?
Living in the new house, Miles finally got to enjoy a backyard. It's not big, but it's something.
Lots of time was spent at the local parks once the water was turned on.
Millennium Park downtown was the biggest hit of all:
People around here love blocking off streets and throwing a block party. Turns out the kiddo loves bounce houses and water balloons so we ended up crashing a lot of these parties. We'd just vaguely point off in the distance when people asked where we lived.
There are is also a street fest just about every weekend. Another big hit with the kiddo.
Equally popular is taking the bus home:
And, as usual, lots of trips to the (free!) zoo.
That about covers the highlights.
Gonna try to get back to posting more often around here (heard that one before, have ya?).
**I'm working on the videos. I know they are acting funky.
